Eglė Ulčickaitė (b. 1989) is a painter whose work depicts everyday motifs, often referencing the Soviet period, through which she explores themes of time, memory, and layered realities. Domestic scenes reconstruct scenarios from the past, becoming museum-like artefacts that appear almost exotic in a contemporary context. Ulčickaitė reconsiders the present by constructing narratives of a past that no longer exists.
